With a perfect blend of American and English folk traditions, sophisticated fingerpicking and earthy voice, Tim Schmidt seems to incarnate Nick Drake, Michael Hurley and Bob Dylan all in one body. Although the comparison flatters, Tim's songs are unique and tell stories of their own time.
Originally from Sweden and now based in Copenhagen (Denmark), Tim Schmidt captured English radio stations, blues clubs in Paris and German folk stages without any record out or promotion for the last few years. He became Sweden's best “Unsigned Act 2008” selected from over 85,000 myspace profiles.
Schmidt released his debut album "Slower Things" on the German label Analogsoul in 2010 and keep touring up to 4 times a year. The new album "YaYa River", following "Slower Things", will be released in April 2011 on Thanks for the Postcard.
